Nestling in a rural, south-facing side of the Purbeck Valley, at Harmans Cross, The Whirlies offers comfortable, quiet, bed and breakfast accommodation for up to four people. Views across the valley are delightful and the sea at Swanage can be seen in the distance. We are 70 metres back from the A351 and very peaceful.

Harmans Cross is perfectly placed between Swanage and Corfe Castle, with easy access to Wareham, the Isle of Purbeck and the World Heritage Coast of Dorset.

A large garden surrounds the house which is always busy with many, varied bird visitors.

We offer a double room with en-suite tiled shower cubicle, sink and WC, and a twin room with en-suite bathroom, sink, shower bath and WC.  Now with HD flatscreen TV, Freeview and DVD library, for those quiet evenings in..

Both rooms are non-smoking as is the rest of the house.

In order to preserve the tranquility for all of our guests, we regret that The Whirlies is not suitable for children and babies.

There is substantial car parking in our drive.
Our community is Neighbourhood Watch and very safe.

Night time noise is minimal and we often enjoy star-lit skies with no local ambient light.

Breakfast is served in the conservatory with delightful views over the valley and fields across to the ridge opposite. On warm days breakfast can be taken on the terrace.

Breakfast includes whatever you wish from fresh fruit compote, a choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice, English cooked breakfast, tea or fresh coffee, with home-made white or brown bread and delicious, locally-produced jams and marmalade.
